Ananthashayanam is one of the most sacred and visually magnificent scenes in Hindu art. Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe, reclines in divine sleep upon Anantha Shesha — the infinite cosmic serpent who floats upon the Kshira Sagara, the ocean of milk. From Vishnu’s navel, a lotus rises, bearing Brahma — the creator god — about to set the universe in motion. Creation itself is about to begin.
This extraordinary Kerala mural captures the scene with the full visual power of Kerala’s 1,500-year-old temple painting tradition. Vishnu’s green-hued form is rendered with characteristic Kerala mural elegance — elongated eyes, serene expression, ornate gold jewellery, and the distinctive bold outlines that make this art form instantly recognisable. Surrounding him is an assembly of the greatest gods — Shiva with his crescent moon and third eye, Brahma the creator, Indra the king of gods, and other celestial beings, each painted with extraordinary ornamental detail.

What is the difference between a hand-painted original and a museum-grade print?
A hand-painted original is individually painted and carries brushwork and natural variation. A museum-grade print is a high-fidelity archival reproduction, available in more sizes at a more accessible price.
Should I choose archival paper or canvas?
Archival matte paper has a smooth, refined finish for crisp detail. Hahnemühle Daguerre Canvas has a fine woven texture and a more painterly presence.
Will the print fade or turn yellow?
Pigment inks and acid-free archival media are designed to remain fade-resistant for 80+ years under normal indoor display conditions and resist yellowing. Keep the artwork away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Is the frame included?
Only when you select a framed option. Unframed prints arrive securely rolled in a protective tube; framed artworks arrive safely packed and ready to hang.
Will the colours and dimensions be exactly as shown?
Every print is carefully colour-matched, although screens may show slight differences. We preserve the original composition, so final dimensions may vary slightly rather than cropping the artwork.
Can I order a custom size?
Selected artworks can be produced in custom sizes while preserving their proportions. Share your wall photo and measurements with us before ordering.
How is the artwork packed and when will it arrive?
Prints are made to order in 3–5 working days. India delivery usually takes 4–7 days; international delivery takes approximately 7–15 days unframed and 15–20 days framed.
What if the artwork arrives damaged?
Made-to-order prints cannot be returned for a change of mind or incorrect size selection. Report transit damage with photographs or an unboxing video within 24 hours of delivery and we will resolve it promptly.
