FAQ
What makes Nakhrro prints different?
They’re not posters. These are archival pigment prints on museum-grade paper or canvas.
Will I see brushstroke detail?
Yes. Our scans capture every nuance of the original hand-painted work.
Paper or canvas—which one should I pick?
Paper is smooth and matte. Canvas has texture and depth. Both are archival.
How long will it last?
With proper care, 80–100 years. Trusted by museums worldwide.
Is framing available?
Yes. We offer framing in wood, metal, or fiber on request.
This Krishna Pichwai painting tucks the deity into the corner of his own world. Krishna appears half-hidden in the upper left, flute lifted, peacock feather catching the light, while the marigold grove takes over the rest of the frame. Cows graze in the lower register. Peacocks fan their tails at the base. A monkey hides in the foliage if you look for it.
The composition follows the dense, all-over Pichwai treatment associated with Nathdwara, where the deity is one part of a larger living scene rather than the singular focus. Gold and ochre dominate, with deep brown outlines giving the marigold clusters their structure. Spiral cloud motifs fill the sky. Banana fronds, peacocks, and grazing cows are worked into the lower two-thirds with the same density as the floral canopy above.
Produced as a museum-grade archival print on heavyweight 310 GSM cotton paper. Pigment inks rated for 100+ years of fade resistance. The fine detail across the marigold clusters and the peacock plumage holds at close range, the way the original painting rewards a slow look. No oversaturation, no commercial gloss.
Sized for a tall wall. Works as a single vertical anchor in a living room, beside a staircase, in a double-height foyer, or against a dark, textured wall where the gold reads as warmth and light. The all-over composition gives it presence even at a distance, and detail that holds up under a picture light up close.
Collectors and interior designers choose this kind of Pichwai when they want the deity present but not dominant, the scene doing as much work as the subject. It is devotional without being a portrait, decorative without losing the iconography.
Available in sizes from 8x12 to 30x40 inches. Framing optional.

FAQ
Is this a hand-painted Pichwai or a print?
This is a museum-grade archival print of a Pichwai composition. For hand-painted
originals by traditional artisans, see the Hand-Painted Pichwai collection.
Where can I buy this Krishna Pichwai print online?
Right here. Each print is produced in-house at Nakhrro on archival cotton paper,
packed for archival pieces, and shipped from Jaipur with full tracking.
Is this a Nathdwara Pichwai composition?
Yes. The dense, all-over treatment of marigold groves, peacocks, and cows around
the figure of Krishna follows the classical Nathdwara Pichwai tradition.
Is this an archival quality Pichwai print?
Yes. Each print is produced on 310 GSM cotton-based archival paper using pigment
inks rated for 100+ years of fade resistance. The same standard used by museums and serious collectors.
Does the print come framed?
Framing is offered as an add-on in select finishes. Choose framed or unframed at checkout. Unframed prints ship rolled in a protective tube.
Can I order a large size for a double-height wall or staircase?
The print is available from 8x12 to 30x40 inches. For sizes beyond the listed range, custom sizing is available on request, including larger formats suited to staircases and double-height foyers.
Is this Pichwai print suitable for a dark or textured wall?
Yes. The gold and ochre palette reads strongly against dark plaster, charcoal walls, and textured concrete, where it functions as a warm focal point.
What materials are used?
310 GSM archival cotton paper and pigment-based inks. Framed versions use solid wood mouldings with acid-free mounting board. Anti-reflective glazing available on request.
How does shipping work?
Domestic India delivery takes 5 to 7 working days. International orders dispatched via FedEx with full tracking, packed with corner guards and moisture-resistant
